China-based studio NEKCOM Entertainment has announced its new project called Showa American Story, a single-player RPG action game set in the post-apocalyptic USA of the 1980s

The main character, a teenage girl named Choko, miraculously manages to revive from the dead, finding herself in a world that turned into complete chaos after a mysterious catastrophic incident had changed it drastically.

Entire areas have turned into wastelands, and the world is now full of monsters, zombies, and human survivors. The main character also suddenly realizes that she has frightening supernatural powers, so she has to use them to fight monsters.

In between battles, Choko can entertain herself by watching movies on videotapes, swimming in the pool, exercising, or doing other usual stuff.

Showa American Story is coming to PS4, PS5, and PC. The game does not have a release date yet, but the page on Steam with system requirements is already available.
