Amit Shah's Stern Stance: Eradicate Terrorism Before It Thrives

The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, delivered a powerful speech in the Rajya Sabha, spelling out a clear, unwavering stance against terrorism in India. In response to discussions on the Ministry of Home Affairs’ workings, Shah vowed to prevent terrorism from taking root, regardless of any political ideology it might hide behind.

A Resilient Stance on Terrorism

“We will not allow terrorism, driven by any political ideology, to thrive in the country. It will be eliminated before it can even take root,” declared Shah. He further highlighted the government’s proactive measures by detailing how the ministry dealt with Amritpal Singh, currently imprisoned in Assam. Following a dedicated manhunt, Singh was captured for his separatist activities, showcasing the government’s no-nonsense approach to terror.

The Fight Against Extremism

Shah emphasized India is safeguarded under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He shared chilling statistics: over 92,000 lives have been claimed by terrorism in past decades, underlining terrorism in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, left-wing extremism, and insurgency in the Northeast as the most pressing challenges.

A Decisive Approach to Internal Security

The Union Home Minister confidently stated that faced with robust political will, terrorism is being suppressed effectively. “There was a time when bomb blasts were routine. I want to tell the people of the country that in the last 10 years, such bomb blasts have stopped. No one can now dare to carry out blasts,” he asserted.

Kashmir: A Region Restored

On the topic of Kashmir, Shah celebrated the region’s newfound peace. With the abrogation of Article 370, incidents of violence have dwindled significantly. “The number of deaths of civilians and security personnel in terror incidents has drastically come down, and stone-pelting in the Valley has been reduced to zero since the abrogation of Article 370,” Shah proudly announced.

Fortification Against Naxalism

Shah also addressed the issue of Naxalism, vowing its elimination by March 2026. The Modi government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism is manifest in its firm grip over regions previously dominated by fear and lawlessness.

Amit Shah’s discourse serves as a call to action, emphasizing that terrorism will not be met with mere dialogue but with decisive and strong actions. According to Mint, the government’s zero-tolerance policy represents a hardened resolve to ensure India’s continued safety and prosperity for its citizens. With Shah’s earnest proclamations, India stands at a significant juncture, ready to obliterate terrorism before it even sprouts.
