Sony has officially announced the rumored Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. The new edition has received improvements for the PlayStation 5 console, including support for the new DualSense controller.

An updated version of the game from the studio Sucker Punch will be released on August 20. Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut received a Mature rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), restricting access to the project to teens under 17 years old.

The new edition will include an additional storyline and a new location – Iki Island near Tsushima, where the main character will go. He has to learn about the remnants of the Mongol army and face the ghosts of the past.

The developers also promise new enemies, equipment, combat techniques, horse armor, mini-games, and several types of animals that can even be stroked.

Ghost of Tsushima was released on PlayStation 4 in July 2020. In March 2021, sales of the game exceeded 6.5 million copies.
