Ariana Grande Had a Virtual Concert in Fortnite
Ariana Grande held five Fortnite concerts in three days over the past week, from August 6 to 8. The series of music shows was called the Rift Tour.
The game event began with players descending down a rainbow mountain to the song Come and Go, which Marshmello and Juice Wrld performed. After that, the players were sent on a huge bear where they could jump while waiting for the main part of the anticipated concert.
Following that, the screen went black, and the miniature players found themselves on a plane where they needed to fight a crystal-covered monster. Then the plane broke down, and many of the soldiers were critically injured, so the survivors had to rescue them.
This kindness was rewarded. The darkness started to shine with stars, and Ariana Grande appeared in the distance, launching the concert with the song Raindrops for a short while, and the first full-fledged song 7 Rings.
Throughout the event, the players were chasing the singer: in bubbles to the song Be Alright, on llamas to R.E.M., and in a space temple to the song The Way. The final piece was Positions.
It was recommended to log into the game one hour before the show's start, and the Rift Tour mode was open 30 minutes before the concert itself.
The singer's character had two variations: with brown and silver hair. The character was also presented in two different costumes. A yellow piggy backpack inspired by the singer's own pet will also be available.
