Australia has imposed sanctions against 35 organizations in Russia's defense, technology, and energy sectors, as well as ten individuals, including Russian ministers, senior officials, and top military leadership in Belarus. The statement was made by Australia's Foreign Minister, Penny Wong.

“This action has been taken in careful coordination with our international partners to have maximum impact on those individuals and entities who play a role in directly or indirectly supporting Russia's illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine,” said Wong.

According to Australia's Foreign Ministry, the imposed sanctions target entities and individuals that have economic and strategic significance for Russia.
