Disney and Tencent have announced an upcoming project – an MMO RPG shooter Avatar: Reckoning for iOS and Android that will be set in the world of James Cameron's Avatar and is set to be released by the end of 2022. The game's release will coincide with the release of the Avatar 2 movie.

The game is being developed by Archosaur Games on Unreal Engine 4 with support from Disney, Tencent, and Lightstorm Entertainment.

The project will include three game modes: single-player, co-op, and PvP. Players will have to explore Pandora and locations not previously shown in the movie. Other details regarding the game will be shared later.

Avatar: Reckoning is the second game in the franchise to be released in 2022. Before that, Ubisoft also announced a full-fledged game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which will also be released this year on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney. Players will embark on a journey through a never-before-seen part of Pandora.
