Bulgaria Bans the Entry of Cars with Russian License Plates

In response to recent EU regulations, Bulgaria has announced the suspension of entry for Russian vehicles into its territory. This decision follows similar measures taken by Baltic states, Poland, Finland, and Norway.

Exact figures on the number of Russian vehicles entering Bulgaria each month weren't provided.

The move is a result of clarifications from the European Commission regarding long-standing restrictions on the import and export of goods to and from Russia. These restrictions now encompass certain items, including automobiles, regardless of whether they are considered personal belongings of travelers.
