Canada Has Expanded Sanctions Against Russia
The Canadian government has expanded the sanctions list: it included the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill, Roskomnadzor, and the propaganda media of Russia, the website of the Canadian government reports.
Nine people were added to the sanctions list of Canada: Vladimir Gundyayev (the real name of Patriarch Kirill), the head of Russian regulator Roskomnadzor Andrei Lipov and several of his deputies, as well as a Russian businessman Tigran Khudaverdyan, who since March 2022 became the CEO of Yandex.
In addition, Canada imposed sanctions against Roskomnadzor and the Russian Regnum News Agency.
