Canada has announced the imposition of sanctions on 63 Russian individuals and entities in response to the visit of Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the Canadian Prime Minister, the sanctioned individuals and entities are involved in the illegal movement and detention of Ukrainian children, the generation and dissemination of disinformation and propaganda, as well as Russia's nuclear program.

The sanctions, which came into effect on September 20th, signify Canada's commitment to holding those involved in activities deemed harmful accountable. These measures underscore the importance of addressing international concerns related to the welfare of Ukrainian children, disinformation campaigns, and Russia's nuclear activities.
