Polish studio The Farm 51 shared new story trailers for the RPG horror survival Chernobylite, an upcoming game that is set to be released on July 28, 2021.
The action of the game takes place in Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The player’s main task is to explore the area and find out what happened to the bride of Igor, the main character.
The new trailer is dedicated to the game’s main character Igor and his confrontation with the Black Stalker. The game’s creators warn that one should not trust anything in the Zone: even our own intentions may turn out to be completely different from what it seems.
The second trailer is dedicated to two locations: the river port and the hospital in the city of Pripyat. The developers used photo scanning technologies. The materials for them were collected by the developers themselves in the Exclusion Zone. Therefore, the architecture of the locations is consistent with the real ones.
Another trailer is dedicated to the protagonist's bride, who disappeared 30 years ago. She first appeared in the game’s announcement in 2019. She then played the violin in Chernobyl.
Igor collects clues and other important information from fractal worlds, and then connects them on a special board. Time flows nonlinearly, so the answers discovered can affect both the future and the past.
Chernobylite was released on Steam Early Access in the fall of 2019, with a full release on PC and consoles scheduled for this month.
