Coral Island Raises $1,6 Million From Expected $70,000 on Kickstarter
A 3D clone of Stardew Valley, Coral Island, raised an impressive amount of money on Kickstarter, much more than planned. Now the game will even be released on consoles at the end of 2022.

The Coral Island farm's simulator raised more than $1,6 million on Kickstarter, although initially, the developers planned to raise only $70,000. Upon completion of the collection, the players managed to achieve all additional goals. The project will receive full multiplayer, mod support and will also be released on consoles.
Coral Island players will travel to a tropical island to create their dream farm. The gameplay involves growing plants, exploring dungeons, fighting monsters, cleaning the ocean from debris, and building relationships with the island's local inhabitants.
The developers plan to translate Coral Island into eight languages. Alpha testing will begin in June 2021, with the game coming to Early Access on Steam towards the end of the year. A full release is scheduled for late 2022.
The project strongly resembles another farmer's simulator — Stardew Valley, released in 2016 in 2D.
