Crytek Has Officially Announced the Next Crysis Game

Following a leak on the Chinese social media platform Bilibili, Crytek officially announced the next installment in the Crysis series – Crysis 4. The studio has released the first short teaser trailer for the sequel to the first-person shooter that invites you to “become the hero you were destined to be.”

The trailer features some flashy effects, a CGI representation of the nano suit's microscopic structure, and number 4 in the end, which clearly indicates that the new title is on its way.

Crysis 4 is currently in the early stages of development and has no release date. However, the developers promised to share more details when they can.

The sequel will be the first game in the first-person shooter franchise in nine years since Crysis 3 was released in 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. In October 2021, Crytek launched the remastered trilogy on PC and consoles.

In a press release, Crytek CEO Avni Yerli also stated that Crysis 4 development would not negatively impact Hunt: Showdown, which the studio will continue to work on.
