Cyberpunk 2077 Returns to the PlayStation Store at a Reduced Price
CD Projekt and Sony have returned Cyberpunk 2077 to the PS Store for a discounted price of $50. Initially, the game was sold for $60. On other platforms, the project’s price is the same – $60.
The full price cut may be a part of an agreement between the manufacturer and the developers because of the poor quality of the game on the base PlayStation 4. There is a corresponding warning on the Cyberpunk 2077 PS Store page.
The game was released on December 10, 2020, but a week later, it was removed from the PS Store due to poor performance, graphics quality, and numerous bugs. As explained by the head of PlayStation, Jim Ryan, Sony did not want to sell a game that could cause a negative gaming experience. CD Projekt has further stated on several occasions that it was in constant contact with Sony regarding the return of the game to the PS Store.
The developers added that they continue to work on fixing bugs in the version for the base PlayStation 4, and urged to play on the PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5 for a better experience.
