Delegations From 25 Antarctic Countries Left the Hall During a Speech by Russian Representative
At the annual meeting on the Antarctic Treaty in Berlin, together with the Ukrainian delegation, 25 participating countries demonstratively left the meeting room during the speech of the Russian representative.
France delivered a joint statement on behalf of 11 EU member countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden and Finland. They declared their full support for Ukraine and condemnation of Russian aggression.
The delegations of Norway, Romania, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain and the United States, as well as Latin American countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Uruguay, joined the speech.
