Elden Ring, a joint project of the Japanese studio FromSoftware (creators of Dark Souls) and George R.R. Martin, has finally been released on February 25 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Elden Ring is a third-person fantasy role-playing action game that differs from the studio's previous games because it has an open world that offers more freedom to explore.

A few days before the release, the developers from FromSoftware studio unveiled an overview trailer for the game that briefly described its features and its story. Players will experience a large-scale, full of danger and mystery journey through the Lands Between – and battle with former heroes turned monsters.

The video showed the game's dark world in detail, reminding about the brave heroes who ruled the Lands Between in the past, and a lot of enemies the player will have to meet in the terrestrial and underground world. It also shows various locations to explore and enemies to fight with.

Players also have a lot of freedom to customize their characters: their appearance, equipment, weapons, and abilities. Players can also craft various items using materials they find while exploring the world. They will also be able to summon a spirit to fight on their side.

The developers also shared minimum system requirements for the game:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: INTEL CORE I5-8400 or AMD RYZEN 3 3300X
  • Memory: 12 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060 3 GB or AMD RADEON RX 580 4 GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 60 GB available space
  • Sound Card: Windows Compatible Audio Device

Elden Ring is already one of the highest-reviewed games of this year.
