The release of the End of Dragons expansion for Guild Wars 2 has been pushed back to early 2022. The game developers reported this on their website. The expansion was initially planned for late 2021. The authors said that the pandemic influenced the change of plans.
At the same time, on July 27, 2021, the game developers, ArenaNet Studio, will host a live stream dedicated to the End of Dragons DLC, where they will present the expansion trailer and reveal some of the details about the plot, characters, event design, and much more.
In addition to End of Dragons, the studio is also working on performance optimizations. To increase FPS, they will add DirectX 11 support to the engine, which will be added to the beta version later this year and lead to potential graphic updates.
The third expansion for Guild Wars 2 was announced back in August 2020. In October 2020, ArenaNet indefinitely postponed the release of the DLC on Steam to focus more on the development of End of Dragons.
