The Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project team has released a new teaser video showcasing how the beloved game could look like if Square Enix decided to recreate it now. The video shows the world of Alexandria and its characters.
The Memoria Project is a proof of concept and not a playable game. Hence, it does not violate Square Enix copyrights. It is a brainchild of professional developers, designers, and artists who decided to envision how Final Fantasy IX might look like today.
In early 2020, there were only two people on the team, whereas now the team includes 28 people working on the project.
Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project aims to bring an opportunity to create an updated game to Square Enix's attention.
