Finland Considers Banning Cars with Russian Plates from Entry
Following the lead of Baltic countries, Finland is reportedly planning to prohibit passenger cars with Russian registration from entering the country, as reported by Yle. Finland aims to adopt a more stringent stance in line with the European Union (EU).
According to Yle, this decision is based on a policy from the European Commission that was approved a week ago. The European Commission is thus seeking to prevent the circumvention of sanctions.
Lithuania had previously announced a similar decision, with Latvia and Estonia subsequently joining the initiative.
