Finnish law enforcement authorities arrested the land and the building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Helsinki. The arrest was made in connection with the EU sanctions, Helsingin Sanomat newspaper reports.

According to the decision adopted on April 11, land area of 3,326 square meters and the office building of the center with an area of 3,926 square meters, which according to official documents belong to the state of Russia, and before that to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, were frozen.

It is a temporary measure to find out who owns the land and the building, and whether they are subject to sanctions.
