Germany Supports Granting the EU Membership Candidate Status for Ukraine

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that Germany stands for full membership of Ukraine in the EU.

"It is clear to me today that Ukraine is explicitly a part of Europe, so Ukraine's very convincing application for membership – full-fledged membership – in the European Union is understandable to me ... We insist on Ukraine's full-fledged membership in the European Union. We want to carry out in-depth reform in the European Union, and it will also be a lesson from this war of aggression."
