US guitar maker Gibson will auction off four limited edition electric guitars painted in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

The blue and yellow musical instruments were specially created to be sold to help Ukraine during the war, according to the brand's Instagram profile.

“Ukraine is in the heat of a battle, and while we support and endorse guitars over guns, sending guitars to Ukraine would be of little help or support at this time. There will come a time of rebuilding and renewed growth, and we want to help,” the Instagram post reads.

“Gibson luthiers have crafted a limited run of four Ukrainian-inspired Les Paul Custom guitars that will go on a journey around the globe to be passed from artist to artist as a show of unity to raise money and awareness.”

The charity auction will begin after the brand sends the guitars on tour. Online bidding will begin on November 10, with a live auction taking place on the following day, November 11.
