Japanese clothing manufacturer Uniqlo, which suspended operations in Russia in March 2022, has decided to completely leave the country and has no plans to resume its operations. This is reported by Russian media Kommersant, citing sources.
Another source of the newspaper said Uniqlo was considering its complete withdrawal from Russia as early as the autumn of 2022, but was initially going to close unprofitable stores only.
On March 10, 2022, Fast Retailing Group, which includes Uniqlo, said it would continue to operate in Russia but would temporarily suspend its operations.
