Dutch company JDE Peet’s, known for brands like Jacobs, L’Or, Tassimo, and Douwe Egberts, will halt the sale of foreign coffee and tea brands in Russia by the end of 2023, as reported by Reuters.

While JDE Peet’s will continue its presence in Russia, it will exclusively focus on local brands. The company’s CEO stated that they have no intention of fully withdrawing from the market, emphasizing the necessity of having such products available in the country.

The CEO also highlighted JDE Peet’s ethical responsibility towards its employees. With over 900 employees and two facilities in the Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk regions, the company's decision reflects its commitment to the local workforce and market.
