Katy Perry Releases a Music Video With Pikachu for the 25th Anniversary of Pokémon

American singer Katy Perry has released a video for the song Electric, in which she stars together with Pikachu. The music video is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon series.

According to the plot, the singer and Pikachu walk around the Hawaiian Islands and remember her childhood and youth.

According to Katy Perry, she happily agreed to contribute to the celebration of the Pokémon anniversary because she was very passionate about them during her school years.

The music video was directed by Carlos López Estrada, co-director of the recent Disney cartoon Raya and the Last Dragon.

Electric is one of the songs of the upcoming album called Pokemon 25: The Album, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, which will also feature J Balvin and Post Malone, who previously performed a virtual commemorative concert.

Pokemon 25: The Album is set to be released this fall.
