During their digital presentation at E3 2021, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer for the Life is Strange Remastered Collection, which includes updated versions of the first Life is Strange, and the Life is Strange: Before the Storm prequel. In the video, the developers clearly demonstrated the differences between the remasters and the original games using the example of character models and facial animations.

The authors did not limit themselves to only enhancing textures. For the remaster, they used the technology used in the Life is Strange: True Colors threequel. It uses motion capture technology, and all facial animation is captured from real actors.

However, the facial animation technology will not be used in Life is Strange: Before the Storm – only other graphical improvements to the environment, character models, and so on will be made there. In addition, the in-game puzzles have been revised as well.

The project's release is scheduled for September 30 for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC (Steam), but buyers of Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition will be allowed to play early September 10.
