Mayor of Paris Opposes Russian Participation at 2024 Olympics

The mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo said that she did not want Russian athletes to compete at 2024 Olympics in the French capital, Politico reports.

Hidalgo said she was "not in favor" of allowing Russians to compete as neutrals or under the Olympic flag, signaling a change in her position last month when she argued that athletes should not be barred from competing because of their nationality.
