Microsoft Has Banned Russians from Downloading Windows 10 and 11

It is no longer possible to download Windows 10 and Windows 11 from the official Microsoft website from Russian IPs. With a Russian IP address, the attempt to download the operating system image ends with the "There was a problem with your request" error.

This also applies to an attempt to download the Windows Installation Assistant and the Media Creation Tool. The site simply reports that there is no file on the server and gives a 404 error ("File or Directory not found").

At the beginning of March 2022, Microsoft suspended sales of goods and services in Russia, including Office and Windows.
