Krafton studio has announced a new game in Player Unknown's BattleGrounds universe. The authors of the next part of the royal battle will take players to the near future. The actions will occur on the new Troi map in 2051. The release of PUBG: New State is scheduled for mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems in 2021.
The developers said that the new part of the franchise should expand the original game's universe and improve the existing mechanics like customizing weapons right on the battlefield. PUBG: New State is set in 2051, which means that weapons, vehicles, and gadgets will be in line with the times' spirit. Unlike Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar, Vikendi, or Livik, the new map, Troi, will be based in a dystopian urban settlement, similar to maps in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare series, or Crysis 3
Another game will be released in the PUBG universe next year. Three projects are planned in total.
Responsible for the new game is PUBG Studio, which developed and supported the original Battle Royale for PC and consoles. The developers plan to transfer all the features and gameplay mechanics from the main game to the mobile format. Authors of PUBG Mobile, studio Tencent, are not listed among the developers.
