Following Sweden's Ericsson, Finland's Nokia, one of the largest telecom equipment manufacturers, has decided to finally withdraw from Russia by the end of 2022, Reuters reports.

Two of the three key suppliers of telecommunications equipment (the third is China's Huawei) have thus left Russia, jeopardising the quality of mobile communications in Russia and its further development.

The Russian telecommunications equipment market now risks either being left without suppliers at all or, unless Huawei joins the sanctions, becoming fully dependent on the Chinese manufacturer.
