Norway to Close Its Borders and Ports to the Russian Trucks and Ships

Norway to close its borders and ports to the Russian trucks and ships, joining sanctions imposed by the European Union over the war in Ukraine.

For trucks from Russia, the only checkpoint on the Russian-Norwegian border, Storskog, will be closed. Also, Russian ships will be banned from entering the ports of Norway.

An exception can only be made for fishing trawlers, said the Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt.
