Putin Threatens to Trash Ukraine

Roman Abramovich who has been acting as Putin’s unofficial envoy in talks with Ukraine, allegedly visited Moscow last Wednesday, The Times reports. Abramovich met Putin, presenting him with a handwritten note from President Zelensky, outlining the terms Ukraine would consider agreeing to in order to end the war. Putin’s initial response was unequivocal: “Tell him I will thrash them.”

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba commented on this to ICTV, a TV channel in Ukraine: “In fact, it matters very little what President Putin thinks right now in terms of who he will thrash. Let me remind you that he was going to capture Kyiv and the key cities of Ukraine in just a few days. I think, at that time he also thought: "I will finish them off very quickly." But nothing came of it... He can make some plans, but we have our own plans. These are the plans for our victory and for the liberation of our territories."
