Rockstar Games has confirmed that it is actively working on the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. The studio hasn't revealed the official name yet, but the game will likely be called GTA VI or GTA 6.
The company revealed neither an approximate release date for the new game nor any other details. However, journalist Jason Schreier suggests that Rockstar might announce the game's release for the fall of 2023, which can also be postponed to 2024.

In addition, Rockstar announced that GTA V and GTA Online would be released on March 15, 2022, for next-generation consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series will feature updated visuals with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 FPS, improved textures and draw distance, ray tracing, and other improvements.
The last game of the series – GTA 5 – was released in 2013.
