Mindigit of the Russian Federation has begun examining how VPNs are used in Russia. The corresponding questionnaire has already been sent to industry organizations with a request to fill it out as soon as possible, Russian media report.
Experts suggest that Mindigit might collect information on this topic to prepare for the blocking of all major VPN-protocols in the country.
Previously, the ministry has already repeatedly collected information about the use of specific VPN services in several organizations, subsequently blocking such services by Roskomnadzor.
