Russian Furniture Exports Collapsed by 40% Last Year Due to Sanctions

Because of the European sanctions on imports of furniture from Russia to the EU, Russian manufacturers lost about 18 billion rubles in a year, and exports of these products fell by almost 40%.

By the end of 2022, the volume of exports of furniture from the Russian Federation fell by 39% in annual terms to 29.5 billion rubles.

The main reason for the significant reduction was the closure of European markets for Russian furniture companies since last spring because of the sanctions imposed by the EU on the import of these products from Russia.
