The TOEFL English language exam, which is organized by ETS, is no longer available to Russian citizens, Mediazona has learned.
When registering for the exam, Russian citizens see a message that reads: «In order to comply with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements, your access to TOEFL products and services is limited».
ETS confirmed that citizens and residents of Russia and North Korea are prohibited from creating accounts or signing up for the TOEFL exam.
TOEFL is required for admission to many foreign universities.
