Slack to Block Free User Accounts from Russia
Beginning from March 21, Slack will shut down Russian communities with free workspaces. The company sent a notice of forced closure of the space opendatarussia.slack.com because it was registered to an email address in the .ru zone.
Since the sanctions were imposed last year, the messenger was still available in Russia, but new accounts and spaces, both paid and free, could not be registered, and customers with paid plans from Russia were transferred to free plans when their subscriptions expired.
