Suppliers Refuse to Ship Baikal and Elbrus Processors to Russia
Foreign contractors who produce processors based on Russian documentation in 2022 refused to fulfill orders and ship already produced chips, said Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev.
He complained that because of this, fewer products based on the Russian Elbrus and Baikal processors will be produced than they could have been.
Shadayev noted that 15,000 PCs and 8,000 servers based on Russian processors were produced this year.
