Swedish company Essity, known for its personal hygiene products and the brands Zewa and Libresse, has announced the complete cessation of its operations in Russia. Consequently, these brands will no longer appear on the shelves of Russian supermarkets.
Essity made the decision to exit the Russian market and sell its business in the country, as stated in an official company announcement.
The process of winding down Essity's operations in Russia is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2023.
The company had initiated its exit from the Russian market as early as April 2022.
