Taiwan Expands Restrictions on Exports to Russia and Belarus
Taiwan has decided to expand sanctions against Russia and Belarus. The Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan announced that they aim to prevent the two countries from using Taiwanese high-tech products for military purposes. This was reported by Focus Taiwan.
The sanctions cover machine-building products. The Taiwanese ministry also noted that the restrictions cover a wide range of law enforcement equipment, such as batons, handcuffs and straitjackets.
The sanctions come into force immediately.
