This was announced by Leonore Gewessler, Federal Minister for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology of Austria, in an interview for Kurier.
"Today Austria is 80% dependent on Russian natural gas which makes us vulnerable to blackmail, this is dangerous, and looking at Ukraine, we now see how painful it is", the Minister says.
According to her, the European Commission has set a goal for all EU member countries to refuse Russian gas and oil import after 2027.
