EA has shared the first details of nextgen versions of FIFA 21.
For the DualSense football simulator for PlayStation 5, the EA Sports team used adaptive triggers. The more the football player gets tired, the more difficult it is to press the button.
Besides, the developers have worked hard to implement feedback. For example, if a football player kicks with his left foot, the left side vibrates. There are many uses for haptics in FIFA 21 now.
Otherwise, the new consoles have a common set of innovations. Since the nextgen versions of the game were created practically from scratch, the team managed to implement many technical and gameplay features.
EA Sports has introduced LiveLight Rendering and a new type of camera, EA SPORTS GameCam. According to the developers, only thanks to these innovations, the game is already changing radically.
The developers also came up with the PreMatch Live system that shows cinematic videos telling about the day of the match's events before its start. For example, how fans enter the stadium through the turnstiles.
Besides, players will move even smoother as FIFA 21 handles over 70 animation combinations on the new consoles, thanks to Multi-Touch Animations.
FIFA 21 will be released on December 4th on PS5 and Xbox Series. The game owners on PS4 and Xbox One will receive a free upgrade to nextgen versions - the offer is valid until next fall when FIFA 22 arrives.
At the same time, EA announced that the nextgen version of the game would not reach the PC due to the desire to keep the minimum system requirements available to a larger number of players.
