The U.S. expanded sanctions against Russia in coordination with the G7 and other international partners.

The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on 22 people and 104 entities, the State Department imposed sanctions on nearly 200 people, entities, aircraft and ships. The White House has added 71 companies to a Commerce Department’s list of entities banned from selling American technology without a license, Reuters reports.

The new U.S. restrictions are aimed at preventing the aggressor country from receiving foreign-made semiconductors, microelectronics, and other electronic components for its military vehicles, among other things.
