George Pataki, former governor of the U.S. state of New York, while on a working visit to the Transcarpathian region, made a gift to Ukrainians affected by the war. He brought modular houses that can be quickly assembled and accommodated there for a certain period of time.

Pataki noted that such houses were used in the United States after natural disasters, when tens of thousands of people were left homeless.

This was announced by the head of the Transcarpathian regional administration Viktor Mykyta.
