The United States have expanded export restrictions on Russia, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Restrictions apply to goods made in the United States, but any product in which American technology or components account for 25% is considered as such.

The most important innovation within the next portion of sanctions is the appearance of such terms as "components," "parts," and "accessories."

According to Kommersant, the U.S. believes that technical products are imported to Russia not for the purpose of their further sale to the consumer, but to disassemble them into chips and further create military equipment. Washington’s commitment to this position is confirmed by statements of high-ranking U.S. officials.
