According to two Forbes sources, the layoffs affected up to 500 people. Other sources said that almost all employees of the Russian division were affected. Also, Forbes sources said that the company has retained 10 employees – the specialists of the TikTok gaming team. They will be relocated to Dubai.
Since March 2022, TikTok does not allow users in Russia to publish new content or live broadcasts.
