Turkey Closed the Airspace for All Russian Airplanes That Fly to Syria
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, said that it was decided to close the airspace of the country for Russian military and civilian airplanes that head to Syria.
"We closed airspace to Russia's military planes and even to civilian planes going to Syria and carrying soldiers", Çavuşoğlu told Reuters on a plane en route to Uruguay. He said that permission had been given for three months until April, and then the flights stopped.
