Developers from the Saber Interactive studio shared a gameplay trailer for the zombie action game World War Z: Aftermath. The project is slated to be released this fall on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Owners of next-generation consoles will have access to the game through backward compatibility with 4K 60 FPS, and versions for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be released in early 2022.

The project's authors say it is the next evolutionary step in the game's development and promise battles on the streets of Rome, including at the Colosseum and in the catacombs, and on snow-covered Kamchatka with a submarine. Players will also get melee system improvements, new weapons, enemies, and perks, but the main innovation will be the new electric-shield-wielding Vanguard class.
